hi! i’m new so please excuse me if i’m making a stupid mistake. my problem is: using the vcmi map editor, there are only ten terrains available. in screenshots i’ve seen elsewhere, there are definitely more available? so what am i doing wrong? does the current version just have fewer terrains?
Some new terrains comes from mods. Install and enable new terrains pack mod and you’ll get new terrains in editor.
i don’t think the terrains i’m looking for are from mods… namely sand, cursed ground, and magic plains are missing. pretty sure those are all from the base game.
They are special objects to be placed at normal terrains, like in original game. Try to type their names 
in editor.
ah! thank you. didn’t realize those terrains were actually placed objects.
