Holy spaghetti, WOW o.O This looks really great. Probably will be the first custom town I will want to try out
ITâs really great, that polish Bastion includes custom town walls for siege screen.
This is hardest part I think to make siege walls screen. I take down hat for this!
Walls looks poor just like map objects, I have to change them for better one, I,m looking for some help with that things.
Iâve just installed this mode and i would like to suggest using more toned colors for creatures. As they are now, they seem a bit out of place. Also I personally liked original desing of lv 2 creature more. Graphic of town on map also would be better as in original design. Apart from that great work, canât wait till it will be completed.
The only disadvantages I found are:
general disadvantages: 1st level creatures should be colored in another way.
battlefield disadvantages: 7th level unit standing idle animation is borked.
sphinx standing idle animation maybe loks good but it is too smooth and looks hyperactive compared to other units, that looks unnaturally for heroes 3.
2nd level units should have their head turned in another direction - towards the enemy as all typical heroes 3 units.
Hi,
Can I have the creature 3d models so that I can improve the rendering?
I have 3D models in Blender for current Whippers, Camel Riders, Ammuts and Anubians in my âPavillion Townâ variant of this faction. I donât mind sharing them, but Iâd first like to know what you find lacking in the current renders and that youâd do a good job with fixing that. Hit me up on discord if youâre interested (same nickname - Andruids).
I gave up because I think the rendering has been improved meanwhile.
But the Whippers can be improved. Look at their skin. Itâs flat as the 90â CGI. Actually the skin has several layers so the light reflects at different layers for each wave length. To better render that, if itâs Blender models, you can base the material of the skin on this one:

Most of the sites will tell you that to have a well rendered skin, you have to use a texture, but in our case, the camera is so far and the resolution is so low so that this trick is enough. I tried with just the Principled BSDF and It renders well.
my problem with this town its that like courtyard its rather weak in statsâŚeither need 20% more hp
So use some other skills or mechanics to gain advantage.
there isent anything that can put it up in
You might want to make the edit yourself then inside each creatures . JSON.
Though, I think it would be interesting to add both buff/nerf sub-mod for towns for balance purpose (that needs to be disabled by default, keep disabled:true).
Or a dedicated buff/nerf mod fully customizable that would act as a patch, dependancies for each sub-mod etc. Might work on that someday if nobody does.
