Map Editor always crashes

Loading any map saved via the VCMI Map Editor (.h3m or .vmap) returns the following message:

basic_string::at: __n (which is 8) >= this->size() (which is 8)

Using the latest version of VCMI and this happens with or without any other mods. Anyone know what’s going on?

Please attach map example

This is stock Arrogance saved as a VMAP.
Arrogance.7z (19.6 KB)

Thanks for report. This is small but serious bug, I should make new release.

Thank you in advance! I have lots of stuff I’d like to test out but can’t due to this issue. I wish you all the best in fixing this :slight_smile:

Please check out github.com/vcmi/vcmi_editor/rel … .9-alpha.2

Thank you! Unfortunately, I get another error with ANY map saved as a .VMAP, regardless of whether I have edited it or not. See: gyazo.com/f01e8ac028a2111f6f40d2f3dd59cb50

This is with any version of the map editor, both 32 and 64 bit.

This error is not reproducible. Please file a bug report, attach .vmap and all logs
